Women's Network
Connect, collaborate, and create opportunities for women in the field of technology. Be part of a transformative experience at HICSS.
About HICSS Women's Network
The HICSS Women’s Network was inspired by a reception for women and friends at HICSS 2011 in Maui and formally convened the following year. Since then, it has become a vibrant tradition, offering innovative programming and small-group dialogues that encourage community, mentoring, and the exchange of best practices.
Today, the Network includes an active LinkedIn community, HICSS Women Who Know, with more than 560 members. It reflects our continuing commitment to fostering an inclusive organizational climate—one that welcomes diverse voices, supports leadership development, and advances the contributions of women and underrepresented groups in our field.
The HICSS 2026 Women’s Network Event will feature highlights from the latest biannual survey, explore research cluster connections, and provide opportunities to strengthen professional networks. All conference participants are warmly invited to attend and engage.
HICSS Women Who Know … | LinkedIn Groups
The HICSS Women’s Network continues to ensure a space for community, best practices, and mentoring within our larger association. We established HICSS Women-Who-Know Linkedin Group with an aim to highlight technical expertise of group members and facilitate professional connections with and among women in computing and system sciences (both industry and academia). With a strong commitment from the HICSS leadership, the Women’s Network conveners will ensure an organizational climate that is welcoming and inclusive of diversity and that fosters excellent leadership and continuing contributions of women and underrepresented minorities in our field.
We invite you to become a member of Women Who Know LinkedIn Group. As a member, you can:
- Exchange job opportunities, opportunities for editorial positions, advice and experiences with other members in the group.
- Use the group information to find candidates for future keynote speakers, board members and other leadership positions.
- Share interests and requests for collaboration on research, journal special issues and grant proposals.
- Contact each other individually.
This group is not limited to women. Any professional in computing and system sciences is welcome to join. By signing up you agree to help promote diversity, especially gender diversity, and are willing to connect and be connected.
Empower your career by connecting with women in the field. Be part of a transformative experience at HICSS.
